Last weekend was to be road-test day
for the Ducati, after many months of hard work and patience all was in readiness
for the final test...but...I fell over, rushing out of the house (as usual) and
tore a calf muscle, so riding someone else's pride and joy was not an action to
contemplate. The repaired calf muscle was working well a week later as
I washed a few clients motorcycles, when after washing the dust from the Ducati
decided to take it for its road test. Was the wait worth it? OOOHHH YES!
Well its kind of..different to sit on..it has the same bulldog attitude to sit
on as it has in looks! Plenty of room for me (Rob and I are about the same stature)
. Thumbing the concealed starter button burst this form into life with
a resonance only a Ducati has, snicking into first gear I was "torqued" up the
drive way to the test track :), that initial movement was bloody inviting, I opened
the 40mm throttles and what a revelation....b'dubba, b'dubba...light, easy to
steer, power and that noise! We would like to extend our thanks to Rob
Ward for allowing us the privalige of manufacturing this very special machine,
I would also like to thank Ducati for making the original in the first instance,
for without good foundations you have nothing to build on. |
